Editing/deleting an existing field

Editing a Field

To edit the existing fields in a module, please follow the steps:

  • Login with valid credentials
  • Click on settings on top right corner
  • Click Modules
  • Click on the existing module
  • Click on fields tab. This will open the list page for all the fields being created in that module.
  • To edit a field, click on edit button i.e. first button on the field line. Once clicked on edit, it will open the page where you can edit the field type, select the field type
  • Click next

The next screen will display the following options:

Field option Description
Field Id It needs to be unique value for each field. Once the field is created, field id cannot be changed.
Field Name The field name can be changed.
Field length Length of the field is defined.
Char String Accept all kind of data, character, numeric, special characters
REQ: Request Type Used in workflow for the purpose of request, approver can see these values and decide whether to approve or not
Status type User can filter records based on status type
Is dependent Checkbox is ticked, if the field is dependent
Is styled dropdown Used for designing the risk matrix
Help text Used to describe the help text for user in order to enter values for the field.
  • Click next
  • Select other characteristics of the field, if required
  • Click finish
Deleting a Field

To delete the existing field, please follow the steps:

  • Login with valid credentials
  • Click on settings on top right corner
  • Click Modules
  • Click on the existing module
  • Click on fields tab. This will open the list page for all the fields being created in that module.
  • In order, to delete a field, click on second button Delete with highlight in red colour i.e. second button on the field line.
  • This will pop up with warning message to delete the field, select the checkbox
  • Click on delete.
